Winning janitor to receive $5,000 cash and $5,000 in products and services for school
CINCINNATI – [Feb. 22, 2016] – Shine a spotlight on a deserving school janitor by nominating him or her for Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) Janitor of the Year contest. Only one week remains to nominate your favorite school janitor for a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize along with $5,000 in Cintas and Rubbermaid products and services for his or her school. A $500 cash prize will be awarded to an additional top nine finalists.
Nominations are being accepted at www.cintas.com/JOTY through Tuesday, March 1. Submissions will be narrowed down to the top 10 finalists by a judging panel from US Communities and Rubbermaid, which will be revealed on March 15. The contest will then be open to public voting through April 15.
“We created this contest to recognize those that work behind the scenes year-round to create a clean, safe and positive learning environment for our children,” said John Engel, Senior Marketing Manager, Cintas. “School janitors do much more than clean our schools. Many mentor students and develop relationships that impact children in positive ways throughout their lives. However, they often go unnoticed for all that they do, and we’re hoping to change that with this contest.”
Cintas’ Janitor of the Year contest is open to all elementary, middle, high school, college and university janitors who have worked at their school for at least two years. Nominations must be 500 words or less on why the janitor is deserving of the award and submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on March 1.
